Why
Prepare
The
one basic reason to prepare for an emergency/disaster is that you
can depend on it finding you. How you prepare yourself and your
loved ones will decide how disastrous a disaster will be. We can
not prevent a disaster from tornado, hurricane, fire, earthquake,
car accident or manmade. Your life and those you love need to be
prepared. Our goal is to help you prepare with information and products.
The first step
in preparedness is to plan and learn.
A disaster may strike you
and your loved ones at home, office, school or in your car, alone
or with others. Every disaster has its own unique set of challenges,
preparation can make the difference between life and death. A man-made
or natural disaster will cause one of the following responses on
your part; stay where you are; shelter in place;
move to a protective structure; shelter in place; evacuate or depend
totally on others for
assistance.
.Sheltering
in Place-when there is no time to evacuate or situations
do not permit, blizzard, tornado, earthquake, hazardous materials.
Rule of thumb is to be self sufficient for 72 hours minimum. See
our sister site
Enlightenmentesp.com for suggestions.
.Sheltering in Place-when
you are away from home and there is a hazardous event or other man
made disasters. You may not be permitted free movement until the
threat has passed.
. Move to a Protective
Shelter-when there is advance warning from such events as
blizzard, hurricane and tornado. You need to have a “bug out
bag” or “go bag”. See our sister site Enlightenmentesp.com
for suggestions.
.Evacuate-when
the location you are at is directly in harm's way and local officials
have issued an evacuation order. It is imperative that you comply
and evacuate in a orderly fashion. What do you take with you. See
our sister site Enlightenmentesp.com
for suggestions.
.Dependency-when
you are unable to communicate with others due to the
disaster that has occurred. This can be natural event or a car accident.
Survival on A Stick (SOS) TM can communicate for you.
A must part of your preparation
is critical personal data and that is why we have created Survival
